Lura’s Walk for Hunger
Lura Wasileski Good of Hanna Radio is walking 32 miles over three days, across five counties, to support veterans, service members and military families facing food insecurity. Every dollar raised benefits the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s MilitaryShare program.
Why Lura Walks
32 Miles for Those Who Served
Military families can face unique financial pressures, and food insecurity can affect a household while a family member is serving or after they’ve served. Lura’s Walk for Hunger is about more than the miles. It’s about standing with the veterans, service members and military families who have given so much, and helping make sure they have the food they need.
The Route
Follow Lura’s Route
Lura walks from Selinsgrove to Bloomsburg along the Susquehanna River, with stops and live broadcasts along the way. Come cheer her on at any stop.
Day 1: Selinsgrove to Northumberland
Wednesday, November 4, 2026
- 8 a.m. Kickoff celebration and live broadcast at Weis Markets, Selinsgrove
- 9 a.m. Lura departs on Route 522 and Routes 11/15
- 10 a.m. Enters Shamokin Dam on the Old Trail
- 11 a.m. Crosses the Veterans Memorial Bridge into Sunbury
- Noon Arrives at Weis Markets on North 4th Street, Sunbury, for drinks and snacks until 12:30 p.m.
- 12:30 p.m. Departs on North 4th Street and Shikellamy Avenue
- 1 p.m. Enters Northumberland
- 1:30–2 p.m. Day 1 ends at W&L Subaru, Northumberland, with a live wrap-up broadcast
Day 2: Northumberland to Danville
Thursday, November 5, 2026
- 8 a.m. Kickoff and live broadcast at W&L Subaru, Northumberland
- 9 a.m. Lura departs on Route 11
- 1 p.m. Enters Danville on Route 11
- 1:30 p.m. Arrives at Weis Markets, Danville
- 1:30–2 p.m. Drinks and snacks from Weis Markets, with a live wrap-up broadcast
Day 3: Danville to Bloomsburg
Friday, November 6, 2026
- 8 a.m. Kickoff and live broadcast at Weis Markets, Danville
- 9 a.m. Lura departs on SR-54 and Route 11 north
- 11:45 a.m. Stops at Susquehanna Valley RV, Bloomsburg
- 12:30 p.m. Departs Susquehanna Valley RV
- 2 p.m. Enters the Town of Bloomsburg on Route 11
- 3 p.m. Finishes the walk at Weis Markets, Bloomsburg
- 3–4 p.m. Photos, drinks and snacks from Weis Markets
