Over the years local Fairs have donated thousands of pounds of livestock to the Food Bank. Make an investment in our community through your support of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s mission of: Fighting Hunger, Improving Lives, and Strengthening Communities.
We encourage businesses, community groups and individuals to consider donating an animal to the Food Bank.
HOW IT WORKS
- Register to receive a donation bidder number
- Hold up your bidder number and the card labeled food bank and pay full bid price for the animal when it is sold to you
- The Food Bank will cover all transport and processing costs
- Donated Livestock will be transported for harvesting and processing
- Packaged meat will be picked up by the Food Bank
- The Food Bank will distribute meat to neighbors facing food insecurity in the county it was raised and donated in
